Urgh I've seriously been living in front of the computer this weekend.
Mostly because I'm working on another art project, which will be about the Vocaloid "Just Be Friends" animation. I only got the line art and base colors in, though = u =
I listen to that song about five times a day now. Never gets tiring. But probably will eventually.
My mood swings are coming in. I felt numerous emotions throughout the day today over little things. I should calm down and eat chocolate. yesh.

Eyyyy last night I stayed until four in the morning to work on my crappy website banner. It didn't come out as well as I wanted it to, but at least I learned how to automatically insert outlines in a layer by myself xD

Early College

Ugh. Some of the disadvantages of being in Early College is having an early "late start every other Wednesday" and expensive textbooks. The normal late start time for zero period is 8:45 am, whereas we still have to attend at 7:45 am. My friend and I only get one hour of extra sleep sooooobbbbbbbbbb. Seriously. School should be in the evening. I don't want to get up at 5:45 am every day. *lazylazylazyyyyyyyyy geh.

Ehhhh I'm planning to work on a side manga, just for fun. The characters and plot will be made up as the story goes xD The title is "White Symphony". Also, I'm not going to spend a lot of time making the pages pretty, so everything will look like doodles and crap. yeaaaahh.

My dad always says I'm a bear for staying in the house all time and barely moving.

So if my mascot's a bear, she'd better be cute - is what I thought.

Ahahahahaha I like the design! So simple and home-y. Her necklace is a key because I really liked fancy keys when I was little . . . (I think I still do)

Her name is Yuzu. It comes from the last syllables from "Miyuzu". (obviously "OTL)

I still haven't thought of her colors. I'll probably just cake her with everything I like. :]

A couple stuff to post here . . . before my phone completely died due to no battery.

On August 16 we did a memorial for Koko. I chose the supplies, and it ended up being $72 xD

The memorial setting. We said some few words with it like this. It's the place where she died.

At the end we just left it like this. I think it's still there. (Fake flowers so they can last forever)

I also made a couple of posters for my community's exit gate so people can read it as they leave.

One says, "RIP KOKO 08/13/09 COYOTE ATTACK", and the other says, "! COYOTE WARNING. KEEP PETS & CHILDREN INDOORS OR ADULT-SUPERVISED."

We are being good neighbors :D We're planning to keep the sign on for a month just in case some people are on vacation.

MAH ROOM :O . . . is soooo yellow. To the right is my sliding door closet and to the left is my huge plastic toy chest and bathroom entrance. The picture above is basically what you would see if you walked in. The table is the drafting table I bought a while ago, and the big, square, brown thing is a drawing . . . board . . . that I had to buy for my art class.

And yes, I sleep with only a mattress, bed, and blanket. Teehee.

Koko

I know I've been depressed lately and I just wanted to point out the main reason.

Koko was such a cute dog. I was her favorite, and we'd play chase a lot. Every time I opened the door she'd keep jumping at me, and whenever I took her out on walks, I pretty much didn't need a leash at all. Koko followed me everywhere and was my comfort whenever I got into a fight with my parents. I keep remembering the day I first saw her and believed she would be with me for 15 years. I didn't imagine that she would get killed this way at only five years old.

I think that if Koko had died of age, I wouldn't have been so emotional. Every living thing dies sooner or later. I know that. But the fact that Koko was eaten by a coyote scares me. I'm scared that her death was painful. I'm scared that she suffered before passing away. I'm scared about the fact that she couldn't even scream when attacked. My dad was traumatized when seeing her body on the backyard lawn. And I know I shouldn't have looked, but I saw her from the second floor window with my poor eyesight. Her head was intact, but her body was open and there was no fur. The whole grass area was dark and reddish. I'm scared that she might have died slowly.

I get hurt internally when my little brother asks me where she went or insists we play with her. Overall, I REALLY didn't know what I had until it was gone. I hate the world for being so cruel. Now, every time Koko pops up in my head, I just want to be alone.

And on the matter of my dog, Koko, I researched a bit and it seems to us that she's been eaten by a coyote. My mom saw one a couple days ago on a nearby road. From the description that my mom gave me, it's totally obvious that a coyote killed her. They prey on small house pets and toddlers, and are known to attack humans and bigger dogs also. Furthermore, there was a coyote watch in my county from 2005, and my city was one of the main ones. And I live next to a teeny bit of wildlife. Geez, I never knew that coyotes could jump 8 foot secure brick walls. That's insane.

I'm gonna buy a wolf now so that if the coyote comes again, it will be the one to be eaten. Hmph. And I think I'll be a vegetarian again.

By the way, the pet shelter team came nine hours after my mom called for help. (8:00 am) They should go chop off their arms and let them rot for half the day before disposing them. That'll teach them what it's like.

I know the hair looks funny, but hopefully it'll look better when colored . . .

Right now I already finished Mayumi's skin base color. I would have continued, but my mom said to get off. = u = ;;

I keep getting scared that my computer will crash because the smaller side to this project is 4000 pixels long xD

So I save it, like, every twenty seconds I do something to it ahahaha.

Since I can't color anymore today maybe I'll do some Bloody Ice fanart or make my study guide for Psychology. I'll probably do the fanart. harharharharharharharharhar

La Brea Tar Pits

A couple days ago my brother, older friend, and I went to the Museum around the La Brea tar pits in Los Angeles. We didn't get to see that many things because my dumb brother just had to run into the cool part of the museum and touch one of the displays. So here are the pictures I took:

Tar pit building. It was closed, so we didn't get to go inside.

Entrance to all the art stuff. Pretty nice :)

One of the first things we saw. They're columns made by plastic bowls. My brother kept running around in it and we had to go chase him. I was dizzy.

I thought it was pretty cool - lamp posts next to each other by size :D

Tar pit building roof. You had to climb a hill to get up here, and my brother and I kept running up and down on it. My brother also rolled down, but I didn't join in on that. harhar.

Later we went to a restaurant in a mall area. It was so lively at night O u O

I ate fettucini. It was delicious, but apparently my brother didn't think so. Hmph.

We ate on the balcony.

Yup, it was awesome. I was so tired when I got back home. But it was worth it.

. . . I think this trip was the highlight of my month. MLIA.

Miku Hatsune

As a result of the poll:

I worked a lot longer on it than I should have """"OTL

The sketch was on regular print paper, and in real life it's about 6.5 inches long xD

I did a couple more Miku sketches. One didn't really look like my style and the other looked too nice for Miku.

ARGH I should have outlined and colored with the pen tool on Photoshop (not available on Elements) It would have been SO MUCH EASIER.

And sometimes I would accidentally color on the lineart layer and would have to do it all over again on its assigned layer SIGH.

And the background was a pain, too. Originally I planned to have her standing on pixelated plates, but after realizing I wasn't able to do that sort of thing, I did a simple flowery background. Then I got frustrated about the colors so I just left it blank.

Darn you, OCD.

It did come out better than expected, though. Thank God for that. ; u ;

After ranting on RMD about Shii-ni, I've gotten comments like "She shouldn't have been so frustrated over people having similar styles to her." Ahahahahahahahahaha. That made me laugh. I'd point out some drawings, but I don't want to be a jerk "OTL

BTW I went back to Shii's farewell drawing, and people were SO mean to her !

+ "All I can say about your comment is: This is STUPID. Your drawings are awesome, but your explanation makes me think you are a little girly-girl preteen."

Sure, she used references and such, but is her coloring that unoriginal? People always say "I knew you drew this!" when they comment, so is her style really not the type that stands out?

Sorry for ranting even moar on this, but I can't stand the ignorance on RMD anymore. I miss the old days when everyone got so many more rates, people were friendlier, had less attitude, and they all had their very own style. I wish people were equal and I didn't get unusual amounts of "Thanks for the comment" or "I have a request" messages.

1. Concerning: Misuke/Shii-ni

I've seen WAY too many people try to imitate this artist. Shii-ni even let everyone know that she disliked the copying, but this is how we respond to her? Seriously, are the few copycats on RMD that unoriginal? How would you like it if you were to come up with a pretty coloring/drawing style and all of a sudden multiple people jack it from you and pretend it's their own? I'm absolutely fed up with the people who comment on these copied drawings and show ignorance to the style similarity. However, I'm even more disappointed in the people who drew in Shii-ni's style with no shame. Want to copy CLAMP's style? Koge-Donbo's? Sure, go ahead. Learn from it and apply it to your original style. Want to copy another member of the community's style? Sure, go ahead. Learn from it and apply it to your original style. Want to copy the member's style straight from drafting to coloring with no credit? Absolutely not! It's called "stealing", everyone. Stealing. I know other artists are being copied, too, but Shii-ni gets copied the most, and it's not stopping. To the artists who have copied her style: I'm sorry, but you have not only offended fans and Shii-ni herself, but you have offended me, also.

2. Concerning: Copy & Paste drawings.

Everyone better DARN know which artist frequently copies and pastes his/her drawings. This person gets away with it every time. Either everyone who admires this person is faking it or is extremely STUPID. Poor color choices, perfect squares, unnecessary lines, and perfect resemblance. Isn't it obvious? I'm coward enough to not be able to speak this out on RMD, especially since this artist is a slightly rebelling person, but I would like to see that there are others with me. PM me on Hersheys177 if you know what I'm talking about.

So Nyuh Shi Dae, also called Girls' Generation, but abbreviated to SNSD, is a successful 9-member girl group. They've reached popularity after releasing their first mini album "Gee" and even more after releasing their second "Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)". Many of STAND mock SNSD for having so many male fans, but what's wrong with that? Of course it's not their fault the industry made them wear skimpy outfits. TVXQ!, Super Junior, and Big Bang probably have a fan base with 99% females. SNSD probably has 70% male fans. At least they are admired by girls like me. Bad examples to teens and little girls, you say? Well, let's look at Britney and Jamie Spears. They don't look like the best role models, either.

It's not their fault for being in a huge group like Super Junior, and it's not Taeyeon's fault she is the leader. Tae was probably chosen because she's the oldest. She's also extremely talented in singing, (for anyone who thinks SNSD has no talent) People who say Tae's not worthy of being leader should stop forcing another personality on her. And for all the Super Junior fans who are part of STAND, I hope you're ready to whack your own idols because they stated that SNSD are talented since their trainee days and have grown to be more beautiful.

As for their looks, STAND posts images of when SNSD were kids and says "This is the real them". Ummmmm well you see, I don't think you would be very excited to share pictures when you were younger. And plastic surgery? It's as common in Korea as liposuction is common in America. Actually, some Korean parents give plastic surgery to their kids as birthday gifts. It's not SNSD's fault that Korea is so focused on beauty. And don't tell me that you're perfectly fine entering the entertainment business with the looks you're born with because the chances are: you're not. Furthermore, many ignorant people say they all look alike. Well, I suggest they OPEN THEIR EYES. If you come to know them, they really do look different. How offending is it when people say you look exactly like all of your friends? SNSD are normal people aren't they? And if one says that they aren't, then they themselves are not.

Plus, they may have made some mistakes and had been immature, but THEY ARE 20 YEARS OLD. And they haven't been in the entertainment business for more than two years. I know a college student in her mid-twenties who parties every night and takes her mom's money. But this girl doesn't get disrespected. Do singers have to be perfect? NO! Close to perfect? NO!!

I love SNSD for their success despite all these bashings and negative comments they receive. Of course they know how much they're hated, but they keep moving on.

Then I went to Borders. They only have the book at online shipping.
Then I went to University of Irvine, California. They used to have it , but nowadays they don't.
Then I went to Barnes & Noble. They have it for online shipping only.
Then I went to Santiago Canyon College. The rude clerk says they don't sell it.
Then I went to Karen unnie's house. Our professor apparently used another textbook last year.
Then I went to Erinn's house to borrow hers.
Then I took pictures of all the 217 pages I needed to read.
And lastly , I ordered the book online.
Story of my life. Everything happened in only two and a half hours, though. :)

meh. Of course , school ended for me already. I'm stuck at home wanting to go to school , but then again . . . not wanting to. :P
